Information required when transferring a domain:

A valid UDAI for New Zealand domains (.co.nz etc).
For International Top Level Domains (.com, .net etc) an email will be sent to the administration contact for the domain name seeking approval for the transfer request. You must respond to this email as per instructions for the transfer to proceed.
When transferring International Top Level Domains you are charged 1 year’s registration fee at the time of transfer. This is added to your existing registration period. Also, an International Top Level domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of its initial registration.

What is a UDAI?
The UDAI (Unique Domain Attribute Identifier) is a unique code which acts like a key and allows you to update and transfer your .nz domain name. You are issued with a UDAI when you register a domain name or you can generate one by logging into your current Registrar site and requesting a new UDAI be emailed to you.
